C3 plays a central role in the activation of the complement system. Its processing by C3 convertase is the central reaction in both classical and alternative complement pathways. CABter activation C3b can bind covalently, via its reactive thioester, to cell surface carbohydrates or immune aggregates. This product is reddish transparent liquid, containing 0.03% NaN3.
The Goat anti-Human C3 antibody is designed for use in various immunological applications. Below are the protocols for the validated application key provided.
Reagents or buffers: Goat anti-Human C3 antibody, human C3 antigen, agar or agarose gel, electrophoresis buffer, and saline.
Antibody incubation: Place the antibody and antigen samples in adjacent wells of the agar or agarose gel and incubate at room temperature for 24-48 hours.
Washing or detection: Observe the gel for precipitation lines, which indicate a positive reaction.
Technical notes: The optimal dilution of the antibody should be determined by the user, but a starting point of 1:16-32 is recommended.
Store at 2-8°C. Handle with care, as the product contains 0.03% NaN3. Use appropriate controls and optimize the protocol as needed.
