The protein encoded by this gene is similar to the yeast Mob1 protein. Yeast Mob1 binds Mps1p, a protein kinase essential for spindle pole body duplication and mitotic checkpoint regulation. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
The Anti-MOB1B Polyclonal Antibody is a rabbit-derived antibody raised against a synthetic peptide of human MOB1B. This antibody has been validated for use in Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin sections (IHC-P).
Reagents or buffers: Xylene, ethanol, antigen retrieval buffer, phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), blocking buffer, primary antibody (Anti-MOB1B Polyclonal Antibody), secondary antibody, chromogen, and mounting medium.
Sample preparation: Paraffin-embedded tissue sections should be deparaffinized in xylene and rehydrated through a series of ethanol solutions. Antigen retrieval may be necessary to unmask the epitope.
Antibody incubation: The Anti-MOB1B Polyclonal Antibody should be diluted to the recommended concentration of 1:50-200 in blocking buffer and incubated with the tissue sections for 1 hour at room temperature or overnight at 4°C.
Washing or detection: CABter primary antibody incubation, the sections should be washed in PBS and then incubated with a secondary antibody conjugated to a chromogen. The signal can be visualized using a suitable chromogen.
Technical notes: The optimal dilution of the antibody may vary depending on the specific application and tissue type. It is recommended to perform a titration to determine the optimal dilution for your specific use.
Store at -20°C, handle with care, use appropriate controls, and optimize antibody dilution for best results.
