Background

Serum albumin, the main protein of plasma, has a good binding capacity for water,Ca2+,Na+,K+,fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin and drugs. Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood. Major zinc transporter in plasma, typically binds about 80% of all plasma zinc.

Protocol / Instructions

Recommended workflow
Optimized handling and experimental guidance
Review the suggested sequence below before starting the assay to keep sample handling, incubation, and downstream interpretation aligned.
Lab-ready steps

The Anti-ALB Recombinant Antibody is designed to target Serum albumin (ALB) in various applications. Below are the protocols for the validated application.

## Western Blotting Protocol

Reagents or buffers: RIPA buffer, SDS-PAGE gel, transfer buffer, blocking buffer, and ECL substrate.

Sample preparation: Lyse cells or tissues in RIPA buffer, then separate proteins by SDS-PAGE and transfer to a membrane.

Antibody incubation: Incubate the membrane with the Anti-ALB Recombinant Antibody at a suitable dilution in blocking buffer for 1-2 hours at room temperature or overnight at 4°C.

Washing or detection: Wash the membrane with washing buffer, then detect the signal using ECL substrate.

Technical notes: The optimal dilution of the antibody should be determined by the user.

Precautions

Store at -20°C, handle with care, use appropriate controls, and optimize antibody dilution for best results.
